Description
Wanting to impress your friends? Well here you go. Starting life as "The Chief" a sterling silver mounted Edward H. Bohlin, Hollywood saddle. It retains the features required of the Rose Parade committee of the day. It was enhanced by architect "Thomas A. Kirley" of the Bay area. A real show stopper with 2481 of pieces of sterling silver (3 missing) each hand engraved with pictorial objects, flowers, animals, etc. including horses, cowboys, Indian Chief, all manner of things. Amazing original 28" long tapaderos, breast collar, hip drops, bridle and Crockett bit. Upgraded with gold accents using pocket watch cases. Two of the squares are engraved (signed), one stating "Thomas A. Kirley / A.I.A. Architect / Started Back Section Dec/66 / Completed on April 1, 1967" Marked on both stirrup leathers with the early Bohlinmade / Hollywood cartouche. The mark is also stamped into the sterling front cover below the rope edge horn with Buffalo head top. The added padded seat in most likelihood covers the Bohlin seat mark.
Comes with a custom fitted metal saddle stand.
