Snuff's combination of two of his favorite things: Bohlin and Roy Rogers. Bohlin stamp on the tooled band, three piece buckle set with monogram "G" on buckle and "S" on tip. The back of the buckle bears Bohlin's football mark along with Sterling & 14K stamps, and "BAER". The 14K gold watch face features Roy and Trigger, the verso is marked "14K / 36 0710 535". One of Roy’s most iconic outfits, and one of his own personal favorites. Custom made for Roy Rogers by Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors of North Hollywood, California. The shirt is a bib front, gabardine, with 3 rows of green leather fringe, flying eagle on the wool plaid bib, longhorns on the collar and 6 snaps on each sleeve. The pants are brown wool, striped with white piping and foot stirrups. The scarf is colorful silk. The hat is Roy’s and bears his classic crease. (belt in photo is not part of lot) There are many photos of Roy in this classic outfit. Included in the lot is a photocopy of a photo of Roy wearing the outfit while doing tricks with his dog Bullet. An important pair of fancy floral carved California batwing chaps, especially made for Tom Mix with his initials carved into the pocket flaps. 24 slotted nickel conchos, floral tooled and carved billet, pockets and side trim. The chaps are characteristically Mix, with his "high and tight" fit, extra conchos and distinctive lacing hole on the outer batwing. Said to have been gifted by Tom to the owner of the iconic Hollywood eatery, the Brown Derby, where Mix was a regular. Includes custom stand. Important Bob Baldwin Canon City Spurs made for Tom Mix

Fine, impressive and historically significant pair of fully mounted, Colorado penitentiary spurs featuring classic Canon City German silver inlaid engraved floral motif with Robert Baldwin’s prisoner number "9647" stamped on the chap guard. 12-point, 2.5" inlaid rowels, upturned heart-shaped buttons with TM brand. Includes Edward H. Bohlin lined two-piece floral carved spur straps adorned with large 2 1/4" nickel conchos emblazoned with Mix’s iconic "TM" trademark and affixed with 3-piece Bohlinmade and marked buckle sets. When these 1920s spurs re-surfaced in the 1980s they only had one of the TM conchos remaining. Consequently, Larry Howard commissioned acclaimed Los Osos (California) bit and spur maker/restorer, Bruce Haener to replicate the original missing concho design. Sunset Carson's Personalized Custom Butterfly Boots

Fabulous two-tone yellow tall boots belonging to cowboy film and television star, Sunset Carson. Fancy red inlays of butterflies front and back, and red inlaid names “Carson” on the top of the right boot, and “Sunset” at the top of the left. The names are reversed on the back of the boot, so that no matter which way Carson was standing, you could read his name! Red overlay also forming heel caps and wingtips, and trim details. The boots are unmarked but attributed to Blucher Boot Co. 16" tall with straight tops and red leather pulls; 11" from toe to heel; men’s approximate size 10-11. Circa 1940s. Accompanied by a black and white photo of Carson Sunset wearing the boots. Provenance: Boyd Magers collection.

Will Rogers' Ziegfeld Follies Rope

A lariat used by the famous and legendary roper and humorist, Will Rogers while performing at the equally famous Broadway production, "Ziegfeld Follies." This is one of two ropes used by Will in 1923; the other is reported to be at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. Accompanied by a note on a stationery envelope that reads: "Will Rogers Ropes given to John J Sullivan by Will Rogers in [sic] after using them in 1923 Ziegfeld Follies - Mate to this one in Will Rogers Memorial at Ardmore Okl." Also Included is a copy of the book, "Will Rogers at The Ziegfeld Follies." Provenance: Boyd Magers collection.
